Koh Phangan is ideally located in the middle of the Samui Archipelago.  The island has several vibrant reefs along the coast which are great for experienced and novice divers alike.

The Samui Archipelago boasts top sites such as Sail Rock, Chumphon Pinnacles, Southwest Pinnacles, and National Marine Park.  Please see detailed descriptions below.

 Location:  15 km North of Koh Phangan                       

Type: Granite pinnacle emerging from the sea

Depth: 10-30 meters          Visibility    5-20 meters

Level of Diver:  All levels

What to see:  Large schools of Yellow-tailed barracuda, Batfish, Trevally and Fusiliers. Leopard Sharks and Whale Sharks are also visitors to this open water site.  Anemone fish, Cardinal fish, Parrotfish, Coral Cod, Grouper, Sea Urchins, Moray Eels, Giant Grouper, Red Snappers, and more.

Location:  Shark Island located off Southeast coast of Koh Tao, approximately 2 hours from Chaloklum       

Type:  Granite island

Depth:       5-20 meters          Visibility:  5-10 meters

Level of Diver: All levels

What to see: Here you will find a slopping reef covered in brain corals, pink anemones and large barrel sponges.  You may also see snappers, banded angel fish and blue spotted stingrays.  Whale Sharks and Reef sharks have been spotted here occasionally.

Location:  Northwest of Koh Phangan, approximately 90 minute journey from Chaloklum         

Type:  Islands with shallow reef

Depth:       1-20 meters          Visibility:  5-20 meters

Level of Diver:  All level of divers and a great site for snorkelers

What to see: Blue spotted rays, banded sea snakes, schools of fusilier, colorful soft corals, barrel corals, and nudibranches.

Location: Northwest coast of Koh Phangan

Type:  Island and sandy beach with offshore reef
